One of our great Med App sites, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), and dashboard team members, Dan Shaw, recently presented the implementation of Med App for their Nursing and Midwifery Graduate Transition Program groups at the Digital Health Week 2023 (#DigitalHealthWeek2023) “Hope not hype”.
Not only was he able to present the great work and results that have been achieved through the implementation of the platform but he also was awarded the Emerging Researcher Prize for Day 1 of the Digital Health Week 2023 presentations!
Here are 3 of the big takeaways from the session:
- Med App has been implemented for all the SESLHD GradStart program intakes across the district. Med App was also used to support the rapid mobilisation of the vaccine and testing hubs during acute stages of the pandemic.
- Using Med App meant the team could move away from the use of USBs, paper, emails and other clunky communication methods. This allowed them to give new starters the orientation information and communications at their fingertips.
- Big improvements in productive time saving, less transcription, improved processes to support orientation and education, better connection between grads and coordinators, easy collection of regular ongoing feedback.
Keep an eye out for some other great presentations on the work being done by the SESLHD team!
