MedApps is excited to announce that Richard Royle has been appointed to the Board of Directors.

Richard has over 30 years of senior executive experience across the public, for profit and not-for-profit private hospital sectors in Australia.

His previous roles include Partner with PwC (digital health lead) and prior to that, President of the Australian Private Hospitals Association. He oversaw the successful implementation of Australia’s first fully integrated digital hospital in Hervey Bay as the group CEO of UnitingCare Health in 2014. In 2016, Richard was the startup CEO of the newly established
Australian Digital Health Agency.

Richard’s first professional role was as Medical Education/ Admin officer and he is acutely aware of the problems being solved and the value MedApps’ products are delivering. Founder and CEO, Dr Rob Pearlman says ‘We’re fortunate to have Richard join the team. He talks passionately about the challenges and opportunities when engaging clinicians and trying to support their career development. He brings an additional level of rigour to our governance team and practical experience to support our strategic growth’.

‘I wish I had access to tools like Resident Guide while I was running hospitals – engaging with clinicians and providing them the tools and information they need to be successful personally is critical to building a strong culture and central to improving patient care. Resident Guide has the potential to change the way clinicians learn and access information’ says Richard.
